But she didn\u2019t have an idea of exactly what shape her body was in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She got the answer she needed\u2014and much more\u2014by trying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldsgym.com\/ilg\/golds-3d\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>GOLD\u2019S<\/strong> 3D\u2122<\/a>, a comprehensive three-dimensional body scan and imaging analysis. This high-tech tool enables Gold\u2019s Gym members to understand their fitness starting point, set achievable goals and track their progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike a chart or simple look in the mirror, <strong>GOLD\u2019S<\/strong> 3D\u2122 scans allow you to see yourself in a new way\u2014and get useful data based on your body\u2019s distinct features and needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After receiving a scan at her Gold\u2019s Gym in Austin, Texas, Jerica met with a <strong>GOLD\u2019S<\/strong> 3D\u2122 expert, who walked her through the results. They then discussed Jerica\u2019s fitness and nutrition goals. The whole process helped Jerica better grasp what she needed to aim for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an incredible way to better understand your body and serves as a measure that could help shape your goals and your plan,\u201d she says. \u201cWe see ourselves in clothes very frequently, but doing the scan gets below the surface to help you get an objective starting point for your future goals.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To Daron Johnson, fitness manager for Gold\u2019s Gym, these scans are a game-changer. \u201cIn the past, we\u2019d pinch and use a tape measure, and the numbers got people discouraged,\u201d he says. \u201cNow we can show members what their body looked like before and compare the images every month. It shows them they\u2019re going in the right direction, gives them a new sense of hope and helps them trust the process.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How it works<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The scanning process takes just 35 seconds. After meeting with a Gold\u2019s Gym expert at a participating location, you stand still on a rotating platform, wearing form-fitting compression clothing (hair pulled back, no socks or shoes, no jewelry or watches). The scan takes 600 infrared images of your waist, hips, biceps and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/res.cloudinary.com\/ggus-dev\/image\/private\/s--XCpHFjGf--\/c_auto,g_auto,w_800,h_225\/v1\/2405e908\/golds-3d-snapshots.webp?_a=BAAAV6Bs\" alt=\"The image displays a human body diagram with various measurements and data points, along with a stylized illustration of a human figure in the foreground.\" class=\"wp-image-9313\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>GOLD\u2019S<\/strong> 3D\u2122 body scanning technology produces results and measurements in real time. Every scan includes a three-dimensional model and more than 25 pages of information, including body shape analysis, body fat analysis (that also cites national averages for comparison) and a fat loss calculator. Plus, the program will combine and compare previous scans in a way that will allow you, over time, to see your body literally changing before your eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Jerica, the scan allowed her to pinpoint how much body fat she needed to lose. It also showed her where she distributes her weight, something Jerica found particularly helpful. \u201cI wasn\u2019t expecting that,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Kravtiz, a 69-year-old Gold\u2019s Gym member in Missouri who trains with Daron, gets a scan every week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t think once a month was enough,\u201d he says. \u201cIf something\u2019s not working, that\u2019s too much of a delay. I wanted the feedback to reinforce what I\u2019m doing, or change, and having that data is invaluable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Seeing success<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>David says he\u2019s on a 20-year plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI want to make it to 90,\u201d he says. \u201cPart of that is putting the work in now for fitness and flexibility to be able to do that and have a good quality of life in those very senior years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once a week, he trains with Daron and gets his <strong>GOLD\u2019S<\/strong> 3D\u2122 scan. On the days in between, he follows his fitness and nutrition plan. David had worked out on his own over the years but hadn\u2019t reached his goals. This time, he says, it\u2019s working. And the scan results don\u2019t lie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe latest scan showed David had dropped six pounds in 13 days,\u201d Daron says. \u201cThe one before that, he\u2019d dropped four inches from his torso. Knowing he\u2019s going to get scanned every week makes him much more accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While those kinds of changes may be noticeable even without the technology, others may not be as obvious. One scan showed that David\u2019s left bicep is smaller than his right by a significant enough margin that Daron incorporated exercises into the plan to help build it up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe depth of information is so interesting,\u201d David says. \u201cI think it\u2019s great.
